Mayor Cornett says Porter Davis, speaker at the news conference announcing the Constitutional and conservative taxpayers' coalitions against the Maps Tax, "He’s absolutely wrong and he needs to be called out . . .” Davis is considering Cornett's apparent offer to finally hold public debates on the issue. Thus far, he has appeared only in controlled situations or in slick ads for the Maps Tax.
